Plaza Lavalle / Lavalle Square:

El Sábado 25 de Mayo, y para festejar el día de la patria se realizó la salida complementaria de Croquiseros Urbanos de Buenos Aires a Plaza Lavalle.
La salida se organizó por pedido del Arq. Alejandro Soneira, profesor adjunto de la cátedra de Arquitectura 2 de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, bajo la titularidad del arq. Adolfo Mondejar para dibujar junto a 60 alumnos de 2º año de la cátedra, en su paso por la ciudad, como viaje de estudios.

On Saturday May 25, and to celebrate the day of the homeland, took place the complementary outing of Croquiseros Urbanos de Buenos Aires to Lavalle Square.
The meeting was organized by order of Architect Alejandro Soneira, assistant professor of Architecture 2 of the National University of Córdoba, under the ownership of arch. Adolfo Mondejar to draw along with 60 second-year students of the cathedra, on their way through the city, as a study trip.




Día nublado y frío, salí bien abrigado.
Ya de antemano tenía pensado dibujar el Mirador Massue, mutilado exponente del Art Nouveau de la ciudad, pero finalmente me decidí por el Teatro Colón. Sentado muy cerca del ángulo sobre Libertad y Viamonte, abarque todo el edificio, deformando bastante la perspectiva para que entre todo en la hoja, con algo de entorno para contextualizar el croquis.
Dibujado con lapicera Kaweco AL Sport con pluma EF con tinta marrón resistente al agua en hoja Schoellershammer 25x35cm de 300gms.
Linda tarde de dibujo a pesar del frío. Luego hicimos la Expo de la producción del día.

Cloudy and cold day, I left well snugged.
Already in advance I had planned to draw the Mirador Massue, mutilated exponent of the Art Nouveau of the city, but finally I decided on the Teatro Colón. Sitting very close to Libertad and Viamonte St. corner, and to cover the whole building, distorting the perspective enough so that everything fits in the page, with some environment to contextualize the sketch.
Drawn with Kaweco AL Sport fountain pen with EF nib with water resistant brown ink in 300gms Schoellershammer 25x35cm sheet.
Nice drawing afternoon despite the cold. Then we did the Expo of the production of the day.

Sketchcrawl #41

El Sábado 19/10 se realizó el sketchcrawl 41 y coincidió con la salida de Croquiseros Urbanos de Buenos Aires en Plaza Lavalle.
Llegue un rato antes y di unas cuantas vueltas para ver que dibujar y esquivar el sol que estaba fuerte. Finalmente me decidí por el remate del Palacio de Justicia sentado bajo una palmera bien alta. Terminé a 10 metros de donde había empezado siguiendo la sombra del árbol.
Decidí deformar la perspectiva porque para los elementos horizontales y largos, mas mi punto de observación estaría casi haciendo una fachada con un punto de fuga (y no queria).
1:30 hs dibujando en el sitio con microfibra 005 sobre algunas líneas a lápiz. Luego complete por 30 min más en casa, y luego acuarelas.
El segundo dibujo es una farola en la vereda del Teatro Colón. Dibujada en 15 minutos en el sitio con microfibras 005+01, luego acuarelas en casa, sobre libreta Brugge 12x19. Los blancos son de marcador de gel.

Sketchcrawl #41
On Saturday 19/10 we have the #41 Sketchcrawl, and coincided with the Croquiseros Urbanos de Buenos Aires sketching afternoon in Plaza Lavalle.
Arrived a little early to walk and choose my subject, point of view and have shelter from the sun, it was heavy. Finally opt for the Justice Hall, sitting under a high palm.I ended up 10 meters from where I started following the shadow of the tree.
I decided to warp the perspective because for the horizontal and long elements, in addition to my observation point would almost making a facade with one vanishing point (and would not).
1:30 hs drawing on site with fineliner 005 over some pencil guides. Then finished the linework for about 30 min more and watercolours.
The second sketch is about a lamppost on the sidewalk of the Teatro Colón. Drawn in 15 minutes on site with fineliners 005+01, then watercolors at home, on 12x19 book Brugge. Whites are gel marker.
