Todos los dias llevo a mis hijos al colegio, y en la esquina de La Pampa y Estomba, en Belgrano R esta esta joya, ahí abandonada y librada a su suerte. Así es que cada vez que paso (todos los días de semana) pienso que tengo que dedicarle un dibujo.

Hoy íbamos a salir a dibujar con algunos colegas, pero al final no se dio y fui solo directo a buscar a este auto.

Tarde un poco menos de 2h en dibujar y pintar. Boceto de lápiz, microfibra 005 y acuarelas en libreta Brugge 12x19cm, 180grm.

El lector verá que en la hoja hay unos puntitos verdes. Fue una lluvia de líquido desconocido que cayó del árbol…

Every weekday I take my children to school, and at the corner of La Pampa and Estomba in Belgrano R is this gem, abandoned to its own fate. So every time I saw it (all weekdays) I think I have to dedicate “her” a sketch.

Today we were going out to draw with some fellow sketchers, but finally we did not, so I went straight to look for this car.

Took shot than 2 hours to draw and paint. Outlined on pencil, fineliner 005 and watercolours on site on Brugge sketchbook 12x19cm, 180grm.

The viewer will see that there are little green dots in the page. It was an unknown liquid fallen from the tree...

Cargadora frontal / Bulldozer:

Esta máquina estuvo estacionada en la puerta de la obra de Gral. Pico por 2 dias hasta que me decidí a dibujarla. Fue durante los primeros días de Febrero 2013 y el calor estaba casi insoportable, pero la tentación (y desafío) fue mas fuerte.

Tardé más de 1 hora en hacer el boceto a lápiz, con muchas borradas y correcciones. Luego estuve por lo menos una hora y media pasando el dibujo en microfibra 01. Y por la tarde, en el hotel retoque algunos trazos con 02. A la vuelta del viaje vino el color con acuarelas en casa. Me costó bastante e hice muchas pruebas para rescatar el color del óxido, no solo sobre la pala sino también en las superficies amarillas.

En total el dibujo me demando 4 horas aproximadamente y quede conforme con el resultado.

This machine was parked at the front of General Pico's construction site for 2 days until I decided to draw it. It was during the first days of February 2013 and the heat was almost unbearable, but the temptation (and challenge) was stronger.

It took over 1 hour to outlined it on pencil , with many erases and corrections. Then I spent at least an hour and half for the line work with fineliner 01. And in the evening at the hotel, touch up some strokes with 02. Back home from the trip, added watercolours. It was laborious, took some time and made many tests to get the color of rust, not only on the blade surfaces but also in yellow ones.

The total time to finish this sketch sue ​​me 4 hours and I´m satisfied with the result.
