Darsena Norte / North Dock:

Ahora trabajo por Retiro, tengo nuevo entorno para explorar y dibujar.

Now I work in Retiro Neighborhood, I have new surroundings to draw!

Desde mi oficina en el piso 11 vi a la Fragata Libertad amarrada en Dársena Norte. En el horario de almuerzo volé para allá!
Hablando con un par de marineros, me confirmaron que la fragata estaría hasta fines de Abril ahí, pero lamentablemente cerrada para visitas. Me tuve que conformar con dibujarla desde el muelle.
La fragata es un velero escuela de la Armada Argentina. Fue botada en 30 de Mayo de 1956.
Realice 2 croquis del navío, uno desde unos cuantos metros por detrás de la popa. El segundo es un detalle de la popa. Dibujados con micro fibra 005+01 en el lugar. Luego complete con acuarelas en casa, en libreta Moleskine large.

From my office on the 11th floor I saw the Fragata Libertad moored at North Dock. At lunch time I flew there!
Talking with a couple of sailors, they confirmed that the ship would be there until late April, but unfortunately closed for visitors. I had to settle for draw from the pier.
The hull is a school vessel in the Argentine Navy. It was launched on May 30, 1956.
I make two sketches of the ship, both about the stern. One from a few meters behind, and the second is a detail. With fine liners 005 + 01 for the line work and watercolors @ my desk, on Moleskine sketchbook large.

Este croquis es de un remolcador. Desde hace un tiempo amarra en la dársena.

Dibujado con lapicera Kaweco con pluma EF con tinta resistente al agua en el lugar. Luego complete con acuarelas en casa, en libreta Moleskine large.

Drawn on location with Kaweco fountain pen with EF nib with black water resistant ink. Later complete with watercolors @home, on Moleskine sketchbook large.
